CERTIFICATE IN SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT (KNEC)


This is a one and half year course, whose objective is to equip Social Development work trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes and experiences that, will enable them to participate effectively in implementation of National social development policies. The following units will be covered in Module I & II respectively.

CSD 3005:      Social Development Work, Theory And Methods

CSD 3008:      Project Development And Management 

MODULE II

CSD 3009:      Human Growth And Development
CSD 3011:      Law In Social Development
CSD 3012:      Kiswahili
CSD 3013:      Management And Administration
CSD 3014:      Community Health
CSD 3015:      Economics
CSD 3016:      Project (Not Teachable In Class; Supervisory Unit)
CSD 3017:      Field Practicum/Report

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualifications are KCSE D plain or KCE Div. 2
  •  Course open to Beginners, Community development workers, Welfare officers and Fresh student
