GENERAL OBJECTIVES TO THE COURSE
This is a one and half year course.
By the end of the course learners should be able to;
- Relate different issues in the medical field to counseling e.g. pharmacology, medical conditions, palliative care etc.
- Identify the different aspects of health and community psychology
- Identify and work with patients/ clients with abnormal behavior for behavior modification
- Understand the ethical considerations in counseling and incorporate them in their practice
- Generate new knowledge by conducting research study in an area of interest related to the medical set-up
- Offer guidance and counseling services to patients e.g. in- patients, out-patients, and in at home (home- based counselling)

- Certificate in Community development, Social development, Social work, Community Health, Counseling and Psychology.
- Course open to Beginners, Development workers, Social workers, Project managers and Fresh students
