To provide comprehensive education through distance learning to many students who cannot access class based study programmes.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CENTRE

1. To give as many people as possible a chance to acquire professional qualifications without having to travel to institutions which offer programmes through full time study
2. To enable professionals who are working in busy environments and with tight schedules to acquire and enhance their skills and knowledge in their areas of specialization
3. To give people who are enrolled in other programmes and institutions an opportunity to pursue a separate programme of their interest

All programmes are examined internally due to the nature of their delivery.
For those who wish to be examined by external bodies like ICM, KNEC, ICM UK, ABMA or ABE they will be asked to follow certain laid down procedures and regulations by the examination body of their interest.

EXAMINATIONS

This programme will be taken through Distance learning only. There will be no sit in Continuous Assessment Tests and Examinations. All Assignments will be in form of research papers and a project paper at the end of the course.

A written examination will be taken at the end of each unit. This exam will be marked out of 70% while the Continuous Assessment Assignments will constitute the remaining 30%.

            66 – 75                       - B
            56 – 65                       - C
            46 – 55                       - D
            45 and below              - Fail

PAYMENT DETAILS

Fees may be paid in full or in Installments based on the number of Manuals collected or send. This can be done through the following methods. Through a Bankers Cheque, a Money order or through the Western Union, MPESA services or directly deposited into the Centres Account. No cash payments are accepted.

HOW LEARNING IS ORGANIZED IN KDLC

The Distance Learning is a flexible mode of study. The following methods are used to deliver materials to students.

• KDLC has prepared well researched manuals that are easy and simple to understand
• The same manuals have been saved on CDs which we are sending to students already enrolled with us. Additional books in soft copy have been prepared to beef up the manuals that are being sent to the students.
• A constant communication  between our experienced tutors and the students is maintained through the Website, telephones and Emails   

WHY SELECT KDLC DISTANCE LEARNING

• Distance learning does not require the student to commute to the college. This saves  money and time that would otherwise be spend on travel back and forth to college This  means that the student can schedule learning around other aspects of their  personal and professional life.
• Distance learning allows for increased compensation and promotion potential
• Financial benefits of distance learning exist as well. Without the need to leave your home to spend a semester or a year in Nairobi, the student is able to substantially save on transportation, housing, and food costs.
