AND KENYA METHODIST
UNIVERSITY SIGN
A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING
In
December 2004, The
Kenya Institute
of Social Work and
Development signed
a M.O.U with the
Kenya Methodist
University.
THROUGH
THIS COLLABORATION
KEMU WILL:
-
Participate in development
of and teaching
in the relevant
KISWCD programmes
in any or all KISWCD
centers in accordance
with the requirements
of the programmes.
- Approve the appropriate
KISWCD centers to
offer full or part
thereof of courses,
and/or programmes
of the university
as agreed upon between
KEMU, the KISWCD
and the centers.
- Approve the programmes
and examine the
students who have
completed the KISWCD
programmes and deliver
the appropriate
certificates and
diplomas.
- Admit duly qualified
graduates from KISWCD
training programmes
to continue their
training at the
University.
- Accord the appropriate
credit transfer
to graduates from
KISWCD programmes
who register for
KEMU academic programmes.
- Support the marketing
of KISWCD programmes
as shall be agreed
upon between the
parties from time
to time.
- Permit
the use of its facilities
and personnel to
support the general
objectives of mutual
benefit to the two
institutions and
any third party
thereof incorporated
in the collaboration
through this MoU.
UNDER
THIS COLLABORATION,
KISWCD WILL:
- Participate in teaching
and in the development
of appropriate KEMU
programmes in the
relevant disciplines
and in accordance
with the requirements
of the programme.
- Permit the use of
relevant courses
or part thereof
of their training
courses in the teaching
programmes of the
University.
- Support the marketing
of KEMU programmes
as shall be agreed
upon from time to
time.
- Permit
the use of KISWCD
licence(s) by KEMU
for the purpose
of carrying out
the functions of
the MoU.
- Be
committed to support
the furtherance
of the collaboration
as agreed upon between
the parties from
time to time.
- Permit the use of
it’s" facilities
and personnel to
support the general
objectives of mutual
benefit to the two
institutions and
any third party
thereof incorporated
in the collaboration
through this MoU.
Through
this collaboration,
the two institutions
may share personnel
as and when required
and on such terms
as shall be mutually
agreed upon for
the purpose of teaching,
programme development,
consultancy or any
other activity of
mutual benefit to
the two institutions.
