KISWCD inaugurates a new Board of Governors


The Kenya Institute of Social Work has inaugurated a new Board of Governors to spearhead the institution in the next 3 years.
The Board is composed of 8 eminent personalities.

Professor Mulinge Munyae
Professor Mulinge is a Professor of Sociology currently working for USIU.  He brings to the Board great expertise in the fields of Sociology and Social work.
Professor Mulinge holds a BA and MA from University of Nairobi, MBA from North West University, and PhD from University of Lowa City USA.
His areas of specialization include Sociology, urban and regional planning.

Caroline Vihenda Ayuya
Ms Ayuya holds a B.Ed. form Hope Africa University in Burundi and MA in Counselling Psychology from Daystar University Kenya.  She is former Head of Department Counseling at KISWCD.  She was promoted to the position of Principal – KISWCD until she joined the Great Lakes University of Kisumu as an Administrator.

 

Benjamin Muoka Mutie
Mr. Mutie holds a BA and MA from the University of Nairobi.  He is currently pursuing a PhD in Development studies.  Mr. Mutie has been the Director of the Institution for 10 years.  He is a polished trainer in areas of Project Planning and Management.  He is an astute Planner and Manager.

 

Joane Nyandiko Githae
Ms Joane Githae is the Chair Academic Board.  She holds a B.Ed. in Counseling from KEMU, a MA in Counseling Psychology from Daystar University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies, from Masinde Muliro University.
She is currently the Head of School of Education and Social Sciences – Gretsa University.


Maurice Nzavi
Mr. Nzavi is polished lawyer practicing in Nairobi. He holds a LLB degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. The Kenya School of Law was established in 1963 to train advocates, offer professional legal development through continuing legal education, offer paralegal training and provide consultancy and research services. He has over 10 years of experience. He is a partner in Nzavi and Company Advocates. He will advice on all legal matters. 

Victora Mumbua Muoka
Ms. Muoka is an educationist with over 20 years experience in managing educational institutions. She holds a B.Ed. from Kenyatta University and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Nairobi. She is the Treasurer of the Institution. She brings to the college immense wealth of experience in educational matters.

 

Rev. Pastor Daniel Kamau
Pastor Daniel Kamau is an accomplished evangelist with over 12 years ministering the word of God. He has a Bachelor’s and MA Degree in Counseling from Daystar University. He is also an accomplished Accountant. He will provide spiritual guidance to the students and staff in the institution.
