This is a one and half year course and aims at equipping students with skills in poverty eradication, how to handle various forms of relief, its management and food for work.


At the end of the course, students are expected to be skilled and knowledgeable in the following areas:

PRSD 1711: Relief Distribution & Management
PRSD 1712: Participatory Assessment, Monitoring & Evaluation                            
PRSD 1713: Food Security              
PRSD 1714: Participatory Poverty Assessment

SEMESTER THREE

PRSD 1715: Resource Mobilization, Management and Fundraising
PRSD 1716: Project Paper
PRSD 1717: Practicum



• Minimum qualifications are KCSE C- or KCE Div. 2 or the equivalent
• Certificate in Community development, Social development, Social work, Community   Health, Counseling and Psychology.
• Course open to Beginners, Development facilitators, Project managers and Fresh students
