CLS 3700: CERTIFICATE IN LEADERSHIP STUDIES


This is a one and a half years course, whose objective is to equip students with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them assist the communities to realize that leadership has been recognized as central in determining the success or failure of organizations. CLS 3704:       Introduction To Community Development
CLS 3705:       Introduction To Leadership Skills.
CLS 3706:       Social Research Methods.
CLS 3707:       Participatory Leadership.
CLS 3708:      Project Development And Management

SEMESTER TWO UNITS

CLS 3709:      Strategy In Leadership Development.
CLS 3710:      Introduction To Financial Management And Accounting
CLS 3711:      Law And Leadership
CLS 3712:      Advocacy And Lobbying.
CLS 3713:      Resource Mobilization And Fundraising.
CLC3114:      Community Capacity Building And Partnerships
CLS 3715:      Project (Not Teachable In Class; Supervisory Unit)
CLS 3716:      Field Practicum /Report.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualifications are KCSE D+ or KCE Div. 3 or the equivalent
  • Course open to Beginners, Community development workers, Welfare officers and Fresh students
