GRADUATION 2025

On Friday, 24th October 2025, the Kenya Institute of Social Work and Community Development (KISWCD) will proudly host its annual graduation ceremony at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos Town. This momentous occasion marks not only the culmination of academic journeys but also the beginning of impactful careers for hundreds of graduates who have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of education.

This year’s graduation theme, “Promoting Sustainable Development Driven by AI Technology”, reflects KISWCD’s forward-thinking commitment to integrating cutting-edge innovation into the social work profession. As the world grapples with complex challenges, from climate change to inequality, our graduates are being equipped with the tools to harness artificial intelligence in crafting sustainable, inclusive solutions.

The ceremony will be graced by a distinguished chief guest, Dr. Peter Kiuluku, Director
General of the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). Dr. Kiuluku’s leadership in regional development and his advocacy for technology-driven policy reform make him an inspiring figure for our graduating class. His keynote address is expected to challenge conventional boundaries and ignite a passion for transformative leadership among attendees.

At KISWCD, we believe that social work is evolving. Our curriculum now embraces digital
literacy, data-driven decision-making, and ethical AI integration—ensuring our graduates are not only compassionate change-makers but also strategic innovators. This graduation is a testament to that evolution.

Families, friends, faculty, and partners will gather to celebrate the achievements of our students, whose resilience and dedication have brought them to this defining moment. The event will feature cultural performances, student reflections, and the conferring of diplomas and certificates across various disciplines.

We invite all stakeholders, alumni, and members of the public to join us in Machakos Town for this landmark celebration. Together, let us honor the past, embrace the future, and champion a new generation of social workers ready to lead with empathy, intelligence, and purpose.
